Bag It – Be Informed, Be Empowered

The goal of Bag It is to help empower patients, through information, to help them navigate a cancer diagnosis. From initial diagnosis, throughout treatment, and into all phases of survivorship, Bag It guides patients on how to talk to their healthcare providers, ask questions, and serve as the most important advocate on their care team.

The CFAC is a coalition of organizations helping cancer patients manage their financial challengers.

Cancer Financial Assistance Coalition

Cancer Care provides free professional support services for people affected by ovarian cancer, as well as treatment information, financial resources and additional resources that are needed.

Disability Benefits Help

Disability Benefits Help is independent organization dedicated to helping people of all ages receive Social Security disability benefits and maintain eligibility once approved by connecting them with disability advocates or attorneys.

By offering free case evaluations, Disability Benefits Help has helped over 3.5 million applicants access the support they need to navigate the Social Security Disability system and alleviate financial burdens caused by medical conditions like cancer.

FORCE- Facing Our Risk of Cancer Empowered

The mission of FORCE is to improve the lives of individuals and families affected by hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers. FORCE accomplishes this mission by creating awareness, supplying information and support to our community, advocating for and supporting research and working with the research and medical communities to help people dealing with hereditary breast, ovarian and related cancers.

NeedyMeds

Needy Meds provides information about programs that help people facing problems paying for medications and health care as well as assist patients in applying to these programs.

OCRA Woman to Woman Program

This is a unique support program that pairs gynecologic cancer patients with trained survivor volunteers who provide one-on-one emotional support and mentoring to women when they need it most.

Patient Advocate Foundation (PAF)

Case workers from the Patient Advocate Foundation work one-on-one with patients, caregivers or providers resolve healthcare issues. The Foundation also offers co-payment assistance to women with ovarian cancer.

Sail Beyond Cancer North Shore

Non-profit run by volunteers who are dedicated to helping those facing the challenges of cancer by providing private 3-hour sails on our 35’ sailboat out of Salem Harbor. The sails are at no cost for the cancer patient and include a small group of the patient’s family, friends and caregivers. These respite sails harness the freedom and healing power of wind and water, and create positive, lasting memories for those onboard.

Sailing Heals

The mission of Sailing Heals is to provide a free day of relaxation and joy for our patient guests who are undergoing treatment for cancer or dealing with the effects of a serious illness or injury, as well as their caregivers.

SHARE – For Women Facing Breast or Ovarian Cancer

Provides dedicated and experienced support for women facing breast, ovarian uterine, cervical or metastatic breast cancers.

The Clearity Foundation

Clearity Foundation strives to improve the survival and quality of life of women with ovarian cancer. We give hope to women with ovarian cancer and their families.

The Dragonfly Angel Society

Dragonfly Angel Society is a one stop location that pulls together survivorship resources and allows you to find what you need as you welcome yourself to cancer survivorship.

The Joe Andruzzi Foundation (JAF)

Committed to providing help, hope and a reason to smile for New England cancer patients and their families by contributing financial support when it is needed most.

The Sam Fund

The Sam fund provides support to young adults who are struggling financially because of cancer. They help young adults survive and move forward with their lives after cancer.

The Sanborn Foundation

This Foundation helps Arlington, MA residents living with cancer pay for expenses related to their care and treatment.

This is Living with Cancer

A program and free app that shares inspiring stories and provides people living with cancer and their loved ones with “LivingWith” – a free mobile app designed to help manage life with cancer.

Turning the Tide Ovarian Cancer Retreat

This yearly Retreat was created for women currently undergoing or having completed treatment for ovarian cancer. Thirty women will be accepted, with registration priority given to women from New England. The Retreat combines recreation and relaxation through a variety of indoor and outdoor activities, art projects, entertainment and free time. There will be a licensed social worker available for private and group discussions.

Yad Chessed

Helps Jewish families and individuals in need. They support clients across Massachusetts by alleviating economic distress and providing ongoing support to help them reach financial stability.
